UQM Technologies Receives Production Order From Southwest Windpower For Wind Turbine Electronic Controls
FREDERICK, Colo., June 4 -- UQM Technologies, Inc. (AMEX:UQM) , a developer of alternative energy technologies, announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, UQM Electronics, Inc., has received an order from Southwest Windpower, Inc. for the production of electronic controls to manage the operation of its wind turbines. Southwest Windpower, Inc. is a leading provider of small wind turbines and related accessories for the residential and commercial markets. Based in Flagstaff, Arizona, Southwest Windpower markets a complete line of wind turbines with peak outputs of 400 watts to 3000 watts under the trade names Whisper(R), Air(R) and Air-X(R).
