Primedia's Truckin' and Sport Truck Head to Las Vegas for First Annual Vegas Nationals Sponsored by Chevrolet and JC Whitney

LOS ANGELES, June 3 -- Truckin' and Sport Truck are going to the streets of Las Vegas June 7-8 for the first annual Vegas Nationals. This event starts on Friday, June 6, with a State 2 State Cruise, which readers of both magazines are invited to attend. Last year's cruise drew more than 300 participants, who traveled from as far as Florida to be a part of the fun.

The third annual State 2 State Cruise, sponsored by Chevrolet, kicks off at 7:00 am from Dealer's Sport Truck, in Los Alamitos, California, after starting the day off right with a Krispy Kreme-supplied breakfast. The Cruise then works its way to Gibson Exhaust, APC's warehouse-sponsored by Stylin' Concepts, and the NHRA Museum, sponsored by JC Whitney. Along the route, there will be chances to speak with the people behind Stull Industries, Line-X, Magna Charger, Vortex, Brother's, Street Scene, Vortech, Cutting FX, and Elegante. After the tours, JC Whitney will provide lunch for everyone on the Cruise. Steve Van Demon will raffle off one of his paintjobs as a prize, with the help of Wicked Trucks and Rods. Vortex is raffling off a custom bed liner that will be sprayed on in the company's booth at Vegas Nationals. There will be plenty of additional raffle prizes from each vendor, and the Cruise's poker run offers chances to win the grand prize! At the end of the cruise, there will be a concert at a party put on by AIM Industries. That is where participants turn in their poker cards, eat, drink, and have fun until they find out who the lucky winner is. Last year's winner received a complete airbag suspension system.

Saturday is when the Truckin' & Sport Truck Vegas Nationals, sponsored by Chevrolet and JC Whitney, begins in earnest, with a show that includes a vendor village, complete with booths and more chances to win prizes; a show and shine section at the world-famous Fremont Street Experience, sponsored by Stylin' Concepts, with several awards on the line and up to $1500 in prizes; a Slo Mo Drags, brought to you by Nitto; a tough truck display; and a hopping contest, brought to you by AIM Industries, where entrants can hop their truck and compete for the audience's favor. Truckin' and Sport Truck will have a booth at the show, where you can meet the editors, pick up a poster, signed by our cover model, and you can see the latest Truck Group gear that's available. On Saturday night, Mudbath will be performing live on stage at the center of the Fremont Street Experience. The concert is free, thanks to Chevrolet. Blue Oval Truck Parts is sponsoring the bikini contest that will take place on Sunday.
