TG North America Garners Six Quality Awards in First Quarter
TROY, Mich., June 2 -- TG North America Corporation (TGNA) announced a number of awards recently secured by three of its North American facilities in the U.S. and Canada during the first quarter of 2003.
TG's Waterville Plant in Quebec, Canada received:
* Honda's Productivity Improvement Award for its improved Weatherstrip process and subsequent cost reduction.
* The plant also secured Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America's (TMMNA) highest level of recognition -- the Superior Corolla Launch Award -- given to suppliers who meet Toyota's highest standards in quality, delivery and value improvement for parts, materials and transportation.
The TG Missouri Plant in Perryville, Missouri received three awards:
* The General Motors 2002 Supplier of the Year Award for its overall business performance in providing General Motors with parts and service.
* TMMNA's Superior Corolla Launch Award for outstanding quality.
* An Excellence Award for Cost from NUMMI for its contribution to reduce cost for Corolla plastic injection-molded products.
The TG California Automotive Sealing Plant in Hayward, California was presented with:
* A Certification Award for Quality from TMMNA for its successful achievement of 50PPMs or less over two consecutive years.
