RAIN CLAIMS RACING PROGRAM AT LEBANON VALLEY
WEST LEBANON, NY - County Concrete of Pittsfield, MA and Heavy Haulers of
Ghent, NY were scheduled to present the May 31st racing program at Lebanon Valley
but the evil rain demons once again played havoc on the planned festivities.
The weather in the Great Northeast has not been kind to the racing industry
this year. Rainy conditions and cool temperatures have hindered what everyone
expected to be a terrific season.
The racing is really heating up on the high banks. In five Modified features
we have had five different winners. Andy Bachetti won the Modified portion of
the World of Outlaws presented by CARQUEST Auto Parts on Tuesday night to
become the latest victor. Matt Quinn, Brett Hearn, Dave Leckonby and Ron Dwyer
have also won.
The Sportsman division has given us three different winners in three races
also. Jeff Watson, Art Collins and Will Galm have all recorded victories this
season.
June has a huge grab bag full of racing and different events on schedule.
Racing will continue Saturday June 7th with a full card along with 358 Modifieds.
Sheldon Oil Services and Automatic Load Cover present the nights action.
Saturday June 14th Key Bank and Heavy Hauler will sponsor all divisions plus
a men's Cannonball.
Callanan Industries was on the schedule to be the sponsor for the June 21st
date but have been changed to sponsor the September 6th Race of Kings along
with CARQUEST Auto Parts. General Electric Plastics in Pittsfield, Ma has come on
board to sponsor Saturday June 21st along with Bilinski Meat Products. This
is Kiddie Ride night so bring the kids along to meet and take a ride in their
favorite drivers racecar.
The "Eve of Destruction III" returns on Tuesday June 24th with all sorts of
Destruction and Carnage. This fun event is a big hit with the kids and should
not be missed. School Bus racing, a Trailer race, a Paper Bag race, Roll-Over
Madness a Demolition Derby and much, much more. Gates open at 5pm with
preliminary events at 6pm. The carnage begins at 7pm. General Admission Adults are
only $12 with kids under 12 just $5. Reserved seats are $14. The Pro Stocks have
been added to this event for a regular points race.
We will close out the month of June by celebrating our countries independence
on Saturday June 28th. St. Lawrence Cement and Capital Tractor will be on
hand to help us with this celebration. They will present a full card of racing
divisions along with a Gigantic Fireworks display. General Admission Adults are
only $10 with kids under 12 only $2.
Gates open at 5pm for all Saturday night events with racing at 6pm. Modified
heats begin at 7pm. General Admission Adults for regular Saturday night events
is only $9 with kids under 12 "Just-A-Buck".
So gather up the family and head on out to "The Valley" for a fun filled
