Top Homeland Security Officials Asa Hutchison and James Loy to Address National Cargo Security Conference in Nashville
ANNAPOLIS, Md.--May 30, 2003--During a period of heightened national security alerts, Asa Hutchison, Under Secretary for Border and Transportation, and Admiral James Loy, Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration, will address this year's Annual National Cargo Security Conference, to be held June 7 - 11, in Nashville, TN.Secretary Hutchison and Admiral Loy will be available for media interviews on a pre-arranged basis; registration fees have been waived for credentialed media.
The two high-level officials from the Department of Homeland Security will be joined by leading security experts worldwide throughout the supply chain, which is widely viewed as vulnerable to terrorist threats. This year's conference promises to be the most comprehensive and compelling in the organization's four decades of existence, with speakers and exhibitors from major companies such as FedEx, Hewlett-Packard, Target Corp., Pinkerton's, Panasonic, Woolworths UK, Lockheed Martin, Landstar, Covenant, Savi Technology, Pfizer, and many others.
