NCMS and Excel Institute Form Educational Partnership
Manufacturing Consortium Will Share Hi-Tech Training Expertise
ANN ARBOR, Mich., May 29 -- The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) today announced a new partnership with the Excel Institute in Washington, DC. NCMS will support the Institute in its mission to provide education, automotive technology training, work place counseling and job placement assistance to students as they train for a career in the automotive repair field and earn their Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification.

"The partnership draws on the strengths of both organizations allowing NCMS to leverage its manufacturing and business expertise with Excel's education and training programs. We are eager to collaborate with Excel to develop state of the art education and training tools making the Excel curriculum available to a broader range of students in the Washington area."
NCMS will help the Excel Institute update its curriculum by converting content using the latest multimedia technologies. The project includes the development of a new web presence which will allow students to access course content remotely and will also include the design and installation of a new computer lab for the Excel Institute.
