Fogarty Resigns from Goodyear Board
AKRON, Ohio, May 29, 2003 -- The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company announced today that Edward T. Fogarty, 66, has resigned from its board of directors. Fogarty, former chairman, president and chief executive officer of Tambrands, Inc., has been a member of Goodyear's board since June 2000. Fogarty cited increasing time commitments for his decision.
"Ed's consumer products knowledge and marketing insight have been valuable to our company," said Goodyear Chairman Samir G. Gibara. "I thank him for his service to Goodyear."
Goodyear's board now includes 10 members.
