-Chassis: The Coors Light team will race chassis #115 at Dover this weekend. This is the same car that finished seventh in the Coca-Cola 600 last weekend and 10th at California Speedway this season.
In 2001, Sterling drove this car to victory lane in the UAW-GM Quality 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. This chassis also gave Dodge it's first win in Michigan 2001.
-NASCAR's Top-10: Sterling Marlin moved into ninth place in NASCAR Winston Cup Championship points following his seventh place finish in the Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. This is his highest points position so far this season. His lowest was 29th following Rockingham. This is Marlin's second week in the Top-10.
-On a roll: Marlin has scored top-15 finishes in the last five points races. In the past seven points races, Marlin has scored five top-10 finishes.
-Dover: This is Sterling's 18th year racing at Dover International Speedway. In 34 starts at the Speedway, he has scored only two top-5 finishes and 10 top-10 finishes. He has no wins and no poles at The Monster Mile.
-Qualifying: Marlin has qualified in the top-10 only three times this season. He has started 20th or worse in seven of the 12 races so far this season.
STERLING MARLIN QUOTES:
"Yeah, we've had some good runs here lately. This team is really coming together good and we're more consistent with our finishes. Our problem right now is qualifying. I don't know what is going on. We practice pretty good and then get out there for qualifying and can't seem to run the same time or pick up any. Then we've got to fight our way to the front and try to not get into trouble. We don't do to well at Dover but we'll try for a solid finish and a better starting spot. We've got a good hot rod this weekend."
