TTTech to Host Time-Triggered Protocol Seminar and Workshop
Ideally Suited for Automotive Safety-Critical Applications
TUCSON, Ariz., May 27 -- TTTech Computertechnik AG, the leading supplier of time-triggered technology and software, is hosting a Seminar and Workshop on its Time-Triggered Protocol (TTP(R)) at the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC), Plymouth, Mich. The Seminar is being held June 10-11; the Workshop is June 12-13.
Time-triggered communication enables new and advanced applications in the automotive industry, including by-wire systems, integrated vehicle control systems, and driver assistance systems. TTP(R) (Time-Triggered Protocol) is a fault-tolerant high-speed in-vehicle data communication network. This mature low-cost network solution is specifically designed to handle safety-critical applications.
Many automotive prototypes, such as GM's Hy-wire, Bertone's Novanta and SKF's FILO, are based on TTP. Leading companies such as Audi, PSA Peugeot Citroen, Renault, Delphi, Denso, Visteon, Airbus, Honeywell, and Alcatel have recognized the technical and competitive advantages of TTP.
The two-day Seminar focuses on providing in-depth knowledge of the concepts, services, and advantages of time-triggered communication. Participants learn about the principles of fault-tolerant distributed real- time systems and how time-triggered communication relates to the communication requirements in the industry.
The two-day Workshop is a tutorial with hands-on exercises for two different design processes: the Simulink-based approach and the two-level design approach. Participants work on PCs and learn how tools are used to design, implement and validate time-triggered systems.
The MMTC is located at 47911 Halyard Rd., Plymouth, Mich.
