EMA Adds New Technical Director to Its Staff
CHICAGO--May 27, 2003--The Engine Manufacturers Association (EMA) announced today that it is enhancing its support to member companies by adding the position of Technical Director to its staff.Filling the position is Mr. Roger Gault who joined EMA on May 19, 2003. Gault brings a strong knowledge base of the engine industry to the association, having over 30 years experience in both the engine and off road segments of the industry. "Roger is a great addition to balance out the EMA staff. His extensive experience and knowledge of the issues affecting the industry will be a great asset to EMA and its members," stated Jed Mandel, EMA President.
Gault comes to EMA from Tecumseh Products Company where he served as Manager of Governmental Affairs and Emission Development. Since graduating from Michigan Technological University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Gault has worked in the automotive and off road engine segments of the industry and has gained valuable expertise in engine manufacturing and regulatory compliance, both of which serve as great background experience for EMA's work and advocacy efforts on behalf of its members.
The Engine Manufacturers Association is a trade association representing worldwide manufacturers of internal combustion engines used in applications such as trucks and buses, farm and construction equipment, locomotives, marine vessels, and lawn, garden and utility equipment. EMA works with government and industry stakeholders to help the nation achieve its goals of cleaner fuels, more efficient engines and cleaner air.
