Jason Jarrett Gladiator release
GladiatorT GarageWorks teams up with Jason Jarrett & ML Motorsports for nine-race deal in ARCA RE/MAX Series
benton harbor, mi (5-21-03) - GladiatorÔ GarageWorks by Whirlpool Corporation and ARCA RE/MAX Series driver Jason Jarrett have agreed to team up for nine races beginning this Thursday, May 22 in the ADG 100 presented by EasyCare at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
Jarrett will be driving the #67 GladiatorÔ GarageWorks Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
GladiatorÔ GarageWorks joined the ARCA RE/MAX Series as an official product sponsor for the 2003 season and has sponsored other ARCA racing teams, but this is the first long-term commitment to an individual racing team.
"This is a great opportunity for GladiatorÔ GarageWorks and we're excited to be associated with a great racing team in ML Motorsports and with Jason," said Christopher Hubbuch, marketing manager of GladiatorT GarageWorks. "We certainly wanted to wish ML Motorsports and Jason the best of luck this weekend and in the races to follow."
The nine-race package includes both events at Lowe's, both at Pocono Raceway, Michigan Int'l Speedway, Winchester Speedway, Salem Speedway, Nashville Superspeedway and Talladega Superspeedway.
Jarrett, son of 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup Series champion Dale Jarrett and grandson of two-time NASCAR Grand National champion Ned Jarrett, is currently third in ARCA RE/MAX Series points with three top-five finishes in six starts in 2003. Jarrett, who will make his 55th career RE/MAX Series start Thursday at Lowe's, was the 2001 RE/MAX Series Rookie of the Year and finished runner-up in points to Frank Kimmel that same year.
"We're very excited to have Gladiator GarageWorks come on board with us for nine races," said Jarrett. "They have great products and we're looking forward to working with them and building a strong relationship. The team is very focused on being a contender for the title this year and we're just glad to have GladiatorÔ GarageWorks be a part of it."
