BMW Group Really Rings Them Dells
ROUND ROCK, Texas May 16, 2003; Dell today announced that it has signed a contract with the BMW Group to supply 13,000 Dell OptiPlex desktops and 4,000 Dell Latitude notebooks.
The global deal worth $16.6 million will see the hardware installed in the leading car manufacturer's offices worldwide by the end of 2003.
As part of the deal, Dell will also provide the BMW Group with services such as Custom Factory Integration (CFI), a pre-installation service that configures Dell systems to meet customer needs and requirements.
