PRIMEDIA Promotes Steven Rousseau to Regional Vice President and Managing Director for Advertising Sales for Detroit Region

DETROIT, May 14, 2003 -- PRIMEDIA Inc. , the leading targeted media company, announced today that Steven Rousseau, (42), has been promoted to Regional Vice President and Managing Director for Advertising Sales for the company's Detroit region.

In this new position, Mr. Rousseau will focus on expanding advertising sales and marketing opportunities across PRIMEDIA's range of enthusiast magazine and media properties within the Detroit marketplace. Mr. Rousseau will continue to maintain his current responsibilities as Group Advertising Director for MOTOR TREND and AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE.

Mr. Rousseau joined EMAP USA, formerly Petersen Publishing, in 1999 as Western Advertising Director of MOTOR TREND. In 2000, Mr. Rousseau was promoted to Publisher of MOTOR TREND and he relocated to Detroit, Michigan. In September of 2002, he was named Group Advertising Director for MOTOR TREND and AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE after PRIMEDIA acquired the EMAP USA properties and merged the two entities.

Prior to working with MOTOR TREND and AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE, Mr. Rousseau spent twelve years of his publishing career in the Southern California marketplace working closely to develop integrated marketing solutions and advertising strategies with Asian automotive manufacturers.

Mr. Rousseau graduated from Ferris State University and currently resides in Detroit with his wife and two daughters.
