MacroAir Technologies LLC Established By Inventor and Manufacturer of High Volume, Low Speed Technology Fans
FAIRFIELD, Conn.--May 13, 2003--Walter Boyd, the inventor of High Volume, Low Speed (HVLS(TM)) technology fans, has announced the founding of a new company, MacroAir Technologies LLC (MacroAir), which will be responsible for the marketing, sales, and distribution of the Airvolution(TM) HVLS(TM) Fans for industrial applications and MaxAir(TM) HVLS(TM) Fans for agricultural applications.MacroAir, owned by Walter Boyd and son Ed Boyd, will be run by chief executive officer, Christopher H. Smith, and president and chief operating officer, Peter Caruso. The management team has 60 years combined experience in launching and managing worldwide businesses in industries from consumer and industrial products to high technology. The company will market, sell, distribute, and provide customer service for HVLS fans for the original designer and manufacturer of HVLS fans, Mechanization Systems Co. Inc., which is also owned and operated by the Boyds.
"We are constantly looking for ways to enhance HVLS technology for our customers, and by maintaining contact with customers throughout every stage of business, from design and manufacture to sales, installation, and ongoing customer support, we feel that we will better help to solve our customers' airflow problems," said Walter Boyd.
The award-winning HVLS technology was developed in the 1990's by Walter Boyd, a mechanical engineer. Originally designed to cool livestock, the technology has since been successfully utilized in numerous other industries and applications. Today, Walt's HVLS fans are utilized in barns, warehouse and distribution centers, manufacturing and production facilities, airplane hangars, "big box" retail operations, convention centers, and other big buildings throughout the world.
HVLS fans are the ideal solution for moving massive volumes of air in large facilities. They offer substantial benefits not available in other HVAC or high-speed fan systems. The fans de-stratify uneven temperatures, significantly reduce heating, cooling, and ventilation costs, operate at about five cents per hour, and, in the experience of MacroAir, for the same or less energy one fan can move 12 times the air of a standard industrial fan.
MacroAir Technologies is based in Fairfield, Connecticut. The company's products are made in the U.S. and offer a lifetime warranty on their blades and hubs. MacroAir is committed to responding to customer needs and improving the efficiency of business operations and quality of life.
