WaveCrest Laboratories to Showcase TidalForce M-313 Electric Bicycle At 2003 Tour de Sol
WASHINGTON, May 13 -- WaveCrest Laboratories, a leading-edge technology company specializing in electric propulsion systems, will showcase its high-performance electric bicycle, the TidalForce M-313, on May 14, 2003 at the 15th annual Tour de Sol: The Great American Green Transportation Festival. WaveCrest will offer TidalForce M-313 test rides at Tour de Sol, which will be held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., located on 3rd Street between Constitution and Independent Avenues, SW.
Sponsored by the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA), Tour de Sol is the world's largest sustainable transportation event. Held to coincide with National Transportation Week from May 10-17, the event highlights new green vehicles and other products, programs and services that can reduce oil use while improving the economy and environment.
"Tour de Sol is the ideal venue to exhibit the TidalForce M-313, which operates with zero emissions and very low noise and heat," said Chris Washburn, vice president of light transport for WaveCrest. "Like the NESEA, we believe strongly that transportation can be environmentally responsible while also powerful, efficient and enjoyable to operate. When widely applied, vehicles like the TidalForce M-313 can help preserve our natural resources and reduce our dependence on foreign oil."
Powered by the WaveCrest Adaptive Motor(R) system in its wheel hubs, the TidalForce M-313 is an all-terrain electric vehicle for military, security and law enforcement applications that delivers exceptional power, speed, range and efficiency. The motor system, which was developed by leading scientists from WaveCrest Laboratories, has a wide variety of transportation, energy and commercial applications, including light transportation vehicles, wheelchairs, windmills, mass transit and automobiles.
Last month, Gen. Wesley K. Clark, USA (Ret.), joined WaveCrest as chairman of the board. A leading military strategist, trainer and technologist, Gen. Clark will provide leadership and direction for the company's business goals and objectives.
