CMXchange Introduces CMXprofessional-services Division

NORTHFIELD, Ill.--May 13, 2003--Commodities Management Exchange Inc. (CMXchange), the pioneering Internet-based integrated commodities management services company, has introduced its CMXprofessional-services division, focused on helping market participants optimize procurement, supply chain and commodity management performance.
CMXprofessional-services is the next strategic addition to CMXchange's commodity management divisions--Physical Trading Marketplace, Financial Derivatives Marketplace and Exchange Technology Services--providing customers a complete menu of strategic commodity management solutions.
"Our objective is to help customers more efficiently manage the entire spectrum of their procurement and commodity management supply chain activities," said CMXchange Chairman Tony Brown. Noting that CMXprofessional-services will be available to non-customers of the exchange as well, Brown added, "We want to help these firms re-engineer their commodity processes, create stronger revenue streams and drive more volume."
Specifically, CMXprofessional-services will help CMXchange Customers integrate five mission critical areas for business participants in commodity management:

-- Strategy and Operations: Aligning operations to an enhanced strategy.
-- Commodity Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Reducing costs; delivery and cycle times for goods and services; improving quality; and helping clients' major suppliers improve performance as well.
-- Change Management and Team Building: Helping teams perform at a higher level of effectiveness, taking advantage of transition and change.
-- Technology: Providing real-time visibility into the complete commodity supply chain.
-- Performance Management: Enhancing employee and management effectiveness by leveraging against dynamic business techniques.

"CMXchange is able to offer these professional services because we have such depth in the commodities management industry," said CMXchange President Tony Caravia. "CMXprofessional-services represents a logical extension of our core competencies that we can share with our customers to increase the overall effectiveness of their operations. It's a winning situation for everyone."
Recently, CMXchange bolstered its CMXprofessional-services division by bringing aboard two industry veterans with expansive consulting experience.
Jerry M. Corbisiero has logged 20 years of experience in helping business executives achieve operating and financial results. A graduate of the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Corbisiero has held senior positions with Accenture, CNA Insurance, IBM, A.T. Kearney and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
Lon Blumenthal, a specialist in leading enterprise procurement and supply chain transformation initiatives, brings a deep background that includes positions at Accenture, Deloitte Consulting, and UOP, the joint venture between Allied Signal and Union Carbide. A noted speaker on business management issues, Blumenthal received his MBA at the University of New Haven.
Future plans for CMXprofessional-services include helping customers develop complete real-time commodity management information systems. For more information about CMXprofessional-services, contact Lon Blumenthal at 773-714-4877 or at jblumenthal@cmxps.com.
