Superior Industries Wins Additional Business From Mazda

    VAN NUYS, Calif.--May 13, 2003--Superior Industries International, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded additional aluminum wheel business from Mazda Motor Corporation.
    Superior said that it anticipates a significant increase in shipments of 17-inch wheels for the 2004 Mazda 6 sedan. Superior currently supplies 16-inch and 17-inch wells for the 2003 Mazda 6 sedan.
    "This new business for this popular vehicle is a significant addition to our international customer base," said President and Chief Operating Officer Steven Borick. "As a result of our ongoing global capacity expansion program, we can commit to deliver these new wheels at the same time that we continue our aggressive push for additional new business with major OEM customers in North America, Asia and Europe."
