GeoLogistics Names Ray Loehner Senior VP of Operations

SANTA ANA, Calif.--May 13, 2003--GeoLogistics, one of the world's largest third-party global logistics companies, continues to enhance its customer support capabilities worldwide with the addition of Ray Loehner as senior vice president of operations.
"GeoLogistics is highly regarded as an established full-service supplier. But today's markets are very fluid, and optimizing logistics to meet specific customer requirements is becoming increasingly more challenging," notes Loehner. "As a team, our focus is to further streamline existing systems and incorporate leading edge technologies and techniques that will increase our value-added contribution to our customers' bottom line."
Loehner's career spans over 25 years as a senior executive at top tier logistics companies including American Airlines, BAX, BDP International, and Airborne. Most recently, he founded and successfully launched an Internet-based logistics firm specializing in shipper procurement services and carrier optimization systems for Fortune 1000 companies. Highly regarded as a performance-oriented executive, he has been responsible for successful marketing operations in both domestic and international arenas.
Loehner's multifaceted operations experience is enhanced significantly with his extensive expertise in real-time optimization of transportation matrices, which further shorten delivery times and cut actual costs.
"We're very proud of our Operations group. It is one of the best. But today's customer is increasingly pressured to cut costs while demanding better service. Ray has the drive and the essential team building mentality to meet these demands and still turn a profit. His experience will be a major contributor to our future success throughout our global network," said William J. Flynn, president and CEO of GeoLogistics.
Loehner holds a bachelor of science degree in Aviation Management Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, served as an adjunct faculty professor at the World Trade Institute International School of Business at Coastline Community College and is a member of the International Air Transport Association.
