Franklin, Wis., May 10--The Saturday night racing program at the Hales
Corners Speedway was rained out.
Racing continues at the speedway on Friday night, May 16 with the
rescheduled BMARA Midget & MSA 360 sprint car special. Then, on Saturday
night, May 17 stock car racing resumes at the historic third-mile oval with
a full program of UMP late model, sportsmen, modified and Hales Whales
racing, plus the wacky 4-cylinder Mud Puppies. The night will be
highlighted by a 30-lap UMP late model feature and the opening round of the
popular annual N&S Towing Hales Whales Triple Crown.
Time trials are at 6:15 p.m. both nights, with racing immediately
following qualifying. Hales Corners Speedway is located on Hwy. 100, one
half-mile south of Forest Home Avenue in Franklin, next to Hiller Ford. For
