Unique Program Provides Shelton Pontiac Buick Customers With Frequent Flyer Miles on Northwest Airlines

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., May 12, 2003 -- Shelton Pontiac Buick announced today that it will enable service customers at its Rochester Hills, Mich.-based auto dealership to earn Northwest Airlines WorldPerks(R) frequent flyer miles for purchasing various automotive services.

While banks, hotels and rental car agencies have similar arrangements that reward patrons with miles in exchange for business, the "WorldPerks Miles for Service" program will reward customers WorldPerks miles for having their cars serviced at Shelton Pontiac Buick.

"If you travel extensively for business or pleasure, like most of our customers, you know how important frequent flyer miles are," said Russell M. Shelton, president and CEO, Shelton Pontiac Buick. "This new program rewards our traveling customers with WorldPerks miles and continuing excellent service, and also gives us an opportunity to say thanks for their loyalty."

The "WorldPerks Miles for Service" program rewards one WorldPerks mile per every dollar spent on service at Shelton Pontiac Buick, including oil changes, routine maintenance, or any other customer service performed on any vehicle make or model. Once the service is complete, miles are deposited to the customer's WorldPerks account.

Shelton Pontiac Buick was founded more than 45 years ago, and is the largest Pontiac-Buick dealer in Oakland County. The dealership, which employs 55 people, last year was the winner of the prestigious "GM Mark of Excellence" award, and was a Top 10 Pontiac Buick dealer in the North Central Region of the United States.
