Auto Interiors Show to Name Annual Car and Truck Interior of the Year Award Winners Tuesday
DETROIT, May 11, 2003 -- Winners of the prestigious 2003 Car Interior of the Year Award and 2003 Truck Interior of the Year Award will be named at ceremonies on the show floor of the Auto Interiors Show, Cobo Conference Center, Detroit, Tuesday at noon.
The tenth annual Auto Interiors Show, being held May 13-15, 2003, is the largest and most important annual industry event in the world dedicated exclusively to interiors professionals.
The Car Interior of the Year Award winner will be selected from the following finalists:
* BMW Z4 * Cadillac CTS * Honda Accord Sedan * Infiniti G35 * Saab 9-3
The Truck Interior of the Year Award winner will be selected from the following finalists:
* Honda Element * Hummer H2 * Volvo XC90 * Lincoln Aviator * Nissan Murano
Finalists were selected on the basis of interior design, functionality, and vehicle innovation. This year winners for Car and Truck Interiors of the Year were chosen by a "People's Choice" format with online voting at www.autointeriors.com.
Last year more than 4,000 interior professionals attended the show to see the latest in vehicle interior products, components and technologies. At this year's show more than 125 suppliers will be exhibiting the latest trends in materials, services, components and modules. Exhibitors include DuPont Automotive, Avery Dennison, Clariant Corporation, Flow International, Standard Rubber Products, and Sunnex. In addition, 22 conference sessions with 37 industry experts will be discussing fabrics, adhesives, telematics, in-vehicle communications, etc.
