PowerB2O Version 6.2 Global Plant Floor Solution Now Available; Release Includes Enhancements for Business Activities and Workflow Execution

DETROIT--May 7, 2003--Detroit based ALTA International and ALTA A/S, located in Copenhagen, Denmark, have announced the newest version of ALTA PowerB2O(TM), a global plant floor software solution that enables automotive suppliers and logistics companies worldwide to achieve more profitable revenue by implementing strategies such as In-Sequence Delivery, Lean Manufacturing, or Build-to-Order.
The latest release, Version 6.2, includes new functionality for integrating business systems, as well as enhanced plant floor capabilities in the areas of error proofing, traceability, and plant floor integration.
ALTA Business Integrator, a highly flexible tool, handles the import and export of business data in a manner that is easy to configure, or reconfigure, if necessary. ALTA Shopfloor Workbench makes possible an extremely configurable plant floor workflow with reusable building blocks, in addition to plant floor error proofing. The module also enables the flexible configuration of user dialog, and supports production devices such as barcode scanners, pick-to-light systems, and torque guns.
These and other product enhancements have resulted in large part from customer input. "ALTA has been helping customers worldwide improve their processes through PowerB2O(TM)," said Gary Adams, Managing Director of ALTA International. "We've listened to their experiences and requests, and have incorporated many of their ideas for enhancements, as well as for entirely new features, in Version 6.2."
