Crawford & Company Announces Launch of Accident Reconstruction Services

ATLANTA, May 2 -- Crawford & Company recently launched Accident Reconstruction Services to assist clients with their existing auto and transportation-industry related claims/incidents.

As part of Crawford's Investigation Services, accident reconstruction employs highly experienced engineers, accredited accident reconstructionists, and mechanical specialists capable of handling anything from simple brake inspections to complex commercial vehicle accident reconstructions.

"This service is a natural extension of Crawford's Investigation Services," said Bryan Maphet, vice president of Crawford's Investigation Services. "We take the investigation further than the typical damage adjuster in that we reconstruct the accident from physical evidence collected. We use the laws of physics to reverse the collision and determine what the vehicle speeds and positions were seconds before the actual impact."

Crawford has recruited Roy Gottschalk to serve as an accident reconstruction specialist. Gottschalk has almost a decade of accident reconstruction experience and is an expert in the field. He, as well as other Crawford reconstruction experts, will initially be located in Atlanta, but will be available for assignment throughout the U.S.

"I look at the facts, unwrap the accident, and provide expert testimony regarding the causative elements of the collision," said Gottschalk.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Crawford & Company (www.crawfordandcompany.com) is the world's largest independent provider of claims management solutions to insurance companies and self-insured entities, with a global network of more than 700 offices in 67 countries. Major service lines include workers' compensation claims administration and healthcare management services, property and casualty claims management, class action services, and risk management information services. The Company's shares are traded on the NYSE under the symbols CRDA and CRDB.
