ADVISORY/67th Annual AAA School Safety Patrol Parade Salutes Those Who Keep Us Safe at Home and Abroad

    --Nearly 3,000 young people will march down Constitution Avenue as part of the 67th Annual School Safety Patrol Parade, sponsored by AAA, the Metropolitan Police Department and the National Park Service of the National Capital Area.
    The Parade is held in honor of AAA's "Life Savers" - whose actions in performance of their safety patrol duties helped save a life or prevented an injury - and the nearly 500,000 safety patrollers who perform their duties to keep children safe everyday.
    Forty-nine elementary school patrol units, accompanied by bands, cheerleaders, majorettes and flag teams, will be judged on marching precision, neatness and uniformity of dress, straightness of lines and ability to maintain forward progress.
    At 10:30 a.m., there will be a special presentation at the reviewing stand from the winners of the AAA Safety Patrol Life Savers Award to the men and women of America's armed forces.
