Vetronix Corp. Receives the 2002 Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Differentiation Innovation

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 29 -- Frost and Sullivan today announced Vetronix Corp. as the recipient of the 2002 Product Differentiation Innovation award by Frost & Sullivan in the European remote vehicle diagnostics market sector for its WirelessRoad fleet management solution.

The award for Product Differentiation Innovation was based upon research on the European remote vehicle diagnostics market conducted by Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Anil Valsan and Research Manager, Sarwant Singh.

This award is presented to the company that best demonstrates the ability to develop advanced products with more innovative capabilities than competing vendors and products. It recognizes Vetronix's successful adoption of new or existing technology integrated into a well-designed product family. Such innovation significantly contributes to the industry in terms of product performance and rate of technical change.

The Frost & Sullivan report states that the capabilities of Vetronix's WirelessRoad(TM) fleet management solutions will enable it to stand out as an exceptional product in this highly competitive market. With Vetronix's background in vehicle diagnostics, data acquisition, wireless connectivity and internet technologies for mobile platforms, the company aims to become a technology leader in the arena of telematics -- in particular remote diagnostics, the application of such diagnostic data, and future opportunities generated by this combination of technologies.

The factor differentiating Vetronix's WirelessRoad(TM) from other similar products is that it uses wireless technology to provide diagnostic information and fleet management capabilities in addition to the standard GPS location, speed, fuel level and air bag deployment notification, as available from other fleet management products.

The solution has been in funded pilot trials for more than two years and has recently gone "live" supporting three major OEMs including its first production TSP contract with a major ride share program.
