ADP Dealer Services Selects netVmg's Flow Control Platform
FREMONT, Calif.--April 29, 2003--netVmg's FCP Helps ADP Dealer Services Deliver Reliable Internet
Performance to its Dealer Customers at the Lowest Network Cost
Route-control innovator netVmg announced today that The Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. has selected netVmg's Flow Control Platform(TM) (FCP) to provide consistent, predictable Internet performance to its dealer customers at the lowest network cost. ADP Dealer Services, the leading provider of integrated dealer management systems and business performance solutions for automotive retailers and their manufacturers, chose the FCP because of its ability to improve internet responsiveness for its Application Service Provider (ASP) data centers. Since using the FCP to optimize its multiple Internet connections, the company has seen a significant improvement in Internet performance with a more than 60 percent improvement in latency and 24 percent reduction in packet loss.
ADP's ASP Managed Services solution includes hosting services for automotive and truck dealer management systems as well as Web-based customer relationship management (CRM) applications. Additionally, ADP's ASP Managed Services includes a nationwide network that connects the dealer locations to ADP's ASP data centers, automotive and truck manufacturers, and the Internet.
"The Internet has become a critical business line for our customers. Dealers are increasingly dependent upon the Internet to connect to their customers and the manufacturers. We needed a scalable, robust route control solution like netVmg's to monitor what was happening on our provider networks, and dynamically work through any problems," said Tim Hardin, vice president/general manager of ASP Services for ADP Dealer Services. "The FCP is able to provide us with predictable Internet performance, while optimizing cost at the same time. And, just as important, its reporting capabilities allow us to monitor our network and actually see how our Internet traffic is behaving."
netVmg's FCP is an integrated combination of flow control software and network appliances deployed at the enterprise network edge or in third-party data centers that intelligently chooses the best Internet route for application traffic across multiple-ISP links, based on real-time data, to conform with predetermined customer performance and cost policies.
"ADP's Dealer Services business is based on delivering the highest quality services possible to its customer base. To meet its high standards, the company must ensure that dealer customers get the best network performance available at all times," said Alan Robin, president and CEO at netVmg. "With our Flow Control Platform, ADP is now able to select the best route for Internet traffic based on ADP's cost and performance policies, resulting in significant cost savings and improved customer satisfaction."
