Japan's Auto Output Rises 5.3%

TOKYO April 26, 2003; Production of cars, trucks and buses in Japan totaled 10,323,099 units in fiscal 2002 which ended March 31, up 5.3% from the previous fiscal year, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) said Friday.

The output surpassed 10 million units for the first time in two years. (Kyodo News)
