Teleflex Elects New Members to the Board of Directors

    PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa.--April 25, 2003--Teleflex Incorporated announced today that Judith M. von Seldeneck and Harold L. Yoh III were elected to Teleflex's Board of Directors at the Company's Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
    Mrs. von Seldeneck is chief executive officer of The Diversified Search Companies, a generalist executive search firm and subsidiary of MPS Group. Mrs. von Seldeneck has been active for many years on the boards of directors of both corporate and not-for-profit entities. She currently serves as a Director, Tasty Baking Company, Citizens Bank and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
    Mr. Yoh is chairman and chief executive officer of The Day & Zimmermann Group, Inc. a leading global provider of diversified management services including engineering, construction, facility operation and maintenance, program management and technical staffing services. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
    Palmer E. Retzlaff, a director since 1978, retired as a member of the Teleflex board at the close of the shareholder meeting. Mr. Retzlaff was recognized at the meeting for his years of service.
    Re-elected to the board at the Teleflex shareholder meeting were Jeffrey P. Black, president and chief executive officer of Teleflex, and Sigismundus W.W. Lubsen, a retired member of the Executive Board, Heineken N.V., Amsterdam, the Netherlands, a manufacturer of beverage products.
