Japanese March Vehicle Output Down

TOKYO, April 25, 2003; Reuters reported that Japan's domestic vehicle production fell 1.1 percent in March from a year earlier to 943,775 vehicles, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said on Friday.

xports fell 0.1 percent.

For the business year that ended in March, domestic vehicle production rose 5.3 percent, while exports rose 12.3 percent.
