Gentex Begins Shipping Automatic-Dimming Mirrors for Acura TSX
ZEELAND, Mich., April 23 -- Gentex Corporation , the world's leading supplier of automatic- dimming rearview mirrors to the worldwide automotive industry, has begun shipping interior, automatic-dimming mirrors for the 2004 Acura TSX Sports Sedan. The shipments mark the first time Gentex has done business with Honda.
A Gentex base automatic-dimming mirror is available in option packages for the TSX, which is sold in North America. The TSX is in the Acura lineup between the RSX Sports Coupe and the 3.2 TL performance luxury sedan, and was designed to compete with other premium sports sedans from Europe and Japan.
Gentex Night Vision Safety(TM) (NVS(R)) Mirrors automatically darken to reduce glare from the headlamps of vehicles approaching from the rear. The brighter the glare, the darker the mirrors become, making nighttime driving safe.
"This is our first business with Honda, so we're thrilled to have been awarded this mirror program," said Gentex Executive Vice President Garth Deur. "We look forward to working with Honda and demonstrating our technological and electronics capabilities to this new, important customer."
