ZAP Moves to Santa Rosa, California

SANTA ROSA, Calif., April 23 -- Publicly owned electric vehicle company ZAP (BULLETIN BOARD: ZAPZ) announced today that it has moved its headquarters to an historic building in downtown Santa Rosa.

The move follows a $3.25 million investment transaction with the previous owner of the building. In March, ZAP completed the purchase of the building in essentially a cashless transaction that included stock, convertible debt and warrants from Virginia investment firm ATOCHA.

The three-story, 20,000 square foot building is located in the heart of downtown Santa Rosa (pop. approx: 150,000), across the street from the city's busiest shopping mall, The Santa Rosa Plaza, which attracts an estimated 8 million customers a year. The historic building is reportedly part of the city's 1906 Old Courthouse Square complex. ZAP moved from Sebastopol, eight miles from its new site.

ZAP corporate offices are now located on the third floor. The bottom floor houses ZAP's full-line showcase of electric vehicles, including electric cars, motorbikes, scooters, bicycles, sea scooters and more. The bottom floor also houses ZAP's service center and offices for its sales and marketing. ZAP officials note there is additional professional office space available and is seeking to sublet the second floor, which contains eight offices. ZAP also says it plans to add more staff.

"This is an unbelievable new showcase home for ZAP," said ZAP CEO Steve Schneider. "The world needs electric vehicles today more than ever and ZAP is one of the few organizations that can respond to this demand. The amount of sales inquiries coming in is growing and we are looking to expand our sales force and organize an international telemarketing campaign to expand our automotive and international distribution."

In January, ZAP announced its entry into the electric car market. The company is now selling a neighborhood electric car called the ZAP L.U.V.(TM) (Light Utility Vehicle) which can be seen on the ZAP website at http://www.zapworld.com/ .
