Robert Bosch Corporation and Eisbrenner Public Relations Recognized for Automotive PR Excellence

TROY, Mich., April 21 -- A joint diesel marketing campaign developed and instituted by Robert Bosch Corporation and its long-time agency Eisbrenner Public Relations has been honored with an Excellence in Automotive PR Award by the Automotive Public Relations Council (APRC).

The campaign earned the Outstanding Achievement in Media Relations (Trade) award -- the top award in the category -- for its success in introducing diesel powertrain options to the automotive industry, government officials and consumers as a clean, performance-enhancing source of transportation.

The program consists of a three-phase media relations approach, beginning with automotive trade, moving to national business and ending with consumer media. Some of the tactics of the on-going campaign include: identity and materials development, executive preparation and visibility, several ride and drive events and a three-piece direct mail campaign.

"The industry recognition from the APRC is a tribute to the hard work and dedication from everyone at Bosch and Eisbrenner Public Relations who have made this campaign successful," said Eric Kosmider, manager, public relations at Bosch.

APRC Excellence in Automotive PR Awards are based on excellence in automotive public relations programs that incorporate sound research, planning, execution and evaluation.

This year, APRC received nearly 40 entries in 8 categories. APRC is a professional organization for public relations practitioners in all segments of the automotive industry. APRC is part of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA).

"Our team is committed to insisting excellence in all our work -- it's an honor to be recognized by our peers for the effort and success of this campaign," said Tom Eisbrenner, firm president. "This has been one of the most satisfying campaigns during our 18-year partnership with Bosch."

Bosch designs and produces precision automotive components and systems sold to vehicle and powertrain manufacturers worldwide. These include systems and components for gasoline and diesel injection, airbag components, brake systems, telematics, as well as small motors, electrical and electronic equipment.
