Tennessee Native Previews Hometown Race at the Bristol Dragway

BRISTOL, Tenn. (April 18, 2003) ­ NHRA fans will have the opportunity to
chat with Mopar Pro Stock driver Allen Johnson on ESPN.com on Wed., April
23, prior to the third annual Mac Tools Thunder Valley NHRA Nationals at
Bristol Dragway, April 25-27. The chat session is slated for 4:30 p.m.,
Eastern/1:30 p.m., Pacific.

The Greeneville, Tenn., resident considers Bristol Dragway his home track,
spending quite a bit of time testing at the Bruton Smith-owned facility.
Johnson is also one of the favorites in challenging for this year¹s POWERade
Pro Stock World Championship ­ and currently sits a solid fourth.

So far this season, Johnson has collected a final round appearance at Pomona
(Calif.) Raceway and a semifinal round outing at Gainesville (Fla.) Raceway.
The two-time NHRA Pro Stock category victor debuted the new Hemi-powered
Dodge Stratus R/T in the most recent NHRA national event at Houston Raceway
Park.
