Pep Boys Named A 'Top 100 Corporate Citizen'
PHILADELPHIA--April 16, 2003--The Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack , the nation's leading automotive aftermarket retail and service chain, announced today that it was ranked #44 on Business Ethics Magazine's list of Top 100 Corporate Citizens.Now in its fourth year, the ranking is based on quantitative measures of corporate service to customers, community, employees, environment, women and minorities and stockholders.

The cutting-edge practices of these firms offer model business strategies in good corporate citizenship. Statistical analysis for the list was done by Sandra Waddock and Samuel Graves of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass. Social ratings were provided by KLD Research & Analytics of Boston, a research firm serving socially responsible investors.
