Caliber Collision Centers Promotes Tom Coleman to Senior Vice President of California Operations

IRVINE, Calif.--April 15, 2003--Caliber Collision Centers, an Irvine-based operator of high-quality collision repair facilities in California and Texas, announced the promotion of Tom Coleman to Senior Vice President of California Operations.
Since its first acquisitions in January 1997, Caliber has rapidly grown to 68 centers with annual revenues exceeding $200 million. According to Bill Lawrence, Caliber's President and Chief Operating Officer, Coleman has been a key factor in the company's success.
"Over the past five years, Tom has actively participated in the design and implementation of several operating processes and management tools designed to support Caliber's commitment to quality repairs, exceptional customer service and claim support assistance," said Lawrence. "These efforts have been essential to the continued growth and success of our business. Tom's experience as a successful operations manager, combined with his extensive knowledge and background in the collision repair industry, uniquely positions him for this new leadership role."
Coleman joined Caliber Collision Centers as Center Manager of its Costa Mesa location with the acquisition of that center in September 1997. In April 1998, Coleman was assigned to an internal consulting role, where he was instrumental in the development of many of Caliber's initial Standard Operating Procedures. Coleman received subsequent promotions to Operations Manager and Area Manager positions, supporting Caliber's growth and operations for several California markets.
In 2002, Coleman was promoted to Vice President, Operations, where his efforts were focused on the creation of proprietary management tools designed to help Caliber's operators analyze and manage key center performance indicators. In his new role, Coleman assumes the responsibility for all California operations, including the Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, San Joaquin Valley and San Diego markets.
Founded in 1991, with headquarters in Irvine, Caliber Collision Centers operates high-quality collision repair facilities in California and Texas. Caliber currently owns and operates 68 facilities and plans to continue acquiring, developing and integrating high-volume collision repair centers while providing innovative collision repair solutions and automobile physical damage claims support.
