Menlo Worldwide Names Al Harrah Director of Business Development -- Automotive for Menlo Worldwide
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--April 15, 2003--Menlo Worldwide today announced that C. Alan Harrah has joined the company as director of business development responsible for growing revenue at Vector SCM, a joint venture between General Motors (GM) and CNF Inc. that serves as GM's lead logistics manager worldwide. Vector SCM is one of the supply chain service providers operating under the Menlo Worldwide(SM) brand. Menlo Worldwide is a $2.7 billion supply chain services subsidiary of CNF Inc. , one of the world's largest supply chain management companies.The announcement was made by James K. Commiskey, Vice President, Global Automotive Solutions Group, Menlo Worldwide.
Prior to joining Menlo Worldwide, Harrah was a global account executive for a major automotive e-business firm managing OEM and major Tier 1 supplier accounts. An executive with more than 16 years of experience in the automotive industry, Harrah previously served as a member of the startup team for GM TradeXchange (which later became Covisint) in the position of sales director of major accounts. Before joining TradeXchange, Harrah spent 14 years with General Motors Corporation in various operational activities including materials management, manufacturing, supplier quality and engineering.
Harrah is based at Menlo Worldwide's automotive sales headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich. and reports to James Commiskey. He received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the GMI Engineering and Management Institute (which later became Kettering University) in Flint, Mich.; a master of business administration degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich.; and a master of science degree in manufacturing engineering from the University of Michigan.
