Messier-Bugatti-Tracer and Spirit Airlines Ink $12 Million Wheel & Brake Repair and Overhaul Deal
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 15 -- Messier-Bugatti-Tracer has announced a new five-year contract to provide wheel and brake services and rotable parts pool support for Spirit Airlines. MBT, a joint venture of Messier-Bugatti and Tracer Repair & Overhaul, will support Spirit's fleet of 26 Boeing MD82/83 Series aircraft.
Rene Visscher, senior vice president of technical operations for Spirit Airlines, said, "Our MRO providers must be responsive, flexible and of the highest quality. MBT fits very well with the future we're building at Spirit Airlines."
