Insequence Awarded Business for Chevy SSR by ASC, Inc.
SMYRNA, Tenn., April 14 -- Insequence Corporation announced today that it would supply sequential part delivery (SPD) technology for ASC, Inc. for its Lansing, Michigan facility. ASC's Lansing assembly facility will sequence more than 15 modules for the new Chevy SSR, which will be assembled at General Motors Lansing Craft Center.
The technology supplied by Insequence will include Insequence's SPD Pro(TM) software, which will enable ASC to receive and process the GM broadcast, allowing ASC to deliver parts and modules to GM in sequence. SPD Pro features utilized by ASC will include build-to-sequence, scan verification, export-to-host and interfaces to plant floor machinery.
Commenting on the significance of the new business, Keith Delk, President of Insequence said, "We look forward to the opportunity to provide ASC with a proven solution for their sequencing requirements in Lansing." The proven solution Mr. Delk refers to is Insequence's turnkey SPD Pro sequential part delivery system which not only includes the SPD Pro software, but also all hardware, training, installation and 24x7 technical support required to operate an SPD facility.
