Superior Industries Named General Motors Supplier of the Year for Third Straight Year

VAN NUYS, Calif.--April 14, 2003--Superior Industries International, Inc. has been named a General Motors Supplier of the Year for the third consecutive year, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Louis Borick announced today. The award was presented during ceremonies in Miami on April 12th.
"Superior is a role model for the type of supplier that GM expects to rely on as we work to increase market share," said Bo Andersson, vice president, GM Worldwide Purchasing Production Control & Logistics. "Superior's performance and contributions have been critical in helping GM to become the industry's low-cost producer of high-quality vehicles."
"We won this prestigious award by consistently meeting GM's toughest design and engineering specifications, cost requirements, and delivery schedules. That's why Superior continues to win new and replacement aluminum wheel programs under our unprecedented long term supply agreement with GM. As this award demonstrates, Superior's relationship with this important customer continues to grow. It's a relationship that has contributed significantly to the success that both of our companies enjoy today, and the foundation for even greater success in the years to come," Borick said.
