GENTILOZZI¹S, RUHLMAN¹S QUALIFYING TIMES DISALLOWED

LONG BEACH, Calif. ‹ Paul Gentilozzi¹s qualifying time was disallowed after
his No. 3 Jaguar R Performance XKR failed post-qualifying technical
inspection Saturday during the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich® Tires Cup
event at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Gentilozzi will therefore
start last in Sunday¹s race.

Gentilozzi qualified third in the field, but was found to have a front-nose
height non compliant with Trans-Am technical specification 2.10 Ground
Clearance, which calls for a minimum ground clearance of 2.5 inches.

As a result of the penalty, Michael Lewis (No. 12 Trans-Am Tools by ProQuest
Jaguar XKR) was elevated to third, and received one championship point for
qualifying in the top three.

Also, the time turned in by Randy Ruhlman (No. 49 Preformed Line
Products/COYOTE Closures Chevrolet Corvette) was disallowed due to an
unapproved engine change. Ruhlman will start just ahead of Gentilozzi on the
grid.
