Clarion Technologies Announces Appointment of Kenneth La Grand To Board Position
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., April 11 -- Clarion Technologies, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: CLAR) has announced the appointment of Kenneth La Grand to the company's board of directors effective March 21, 2003.
Mr. La Grand comes to Clarion with extensive experience and knowledge of the automotive, appliance and fire protection Industries. Mr. La Grand retired from Gentex Corporation, Zeeland, Michigan in January of 2003. Gentex Corporation is a leading innovator of advanced electro-optical products, including automatic-dimming rearview mirrors, fire protection devices and light-emitting diode (LED) technology. Mr. La Grand served on the Gentex leadership team and held the position of Executive Vice-President prior to his retirement. Mr. La Grand's responsibilities included divisional management, finance, material control, investor relations, and business planning for the publicly traded company. Prior to serving at Gentex, Mr. La Grand served 18 years in multiple positions, including Vice President and General Manager of the Simicon Division of Robertshaw Controls, a leading supplier of control products serving the appliance industry. Mr. La Grand currently serves on the Board of Directors for Gentex Corporation and maintains membership in the Society of Automotive Engineers and the American Management Association.
