Dealix Corporation More Than Doubles Its Market Share of the Ward's Top 100 e-Dealers
PALO ALTO, Calif., April 11 -- Ward's Dealer Business reported that Dealix Corporation, the market expert and leader in automotive Internet marketing services, was one of the fastest growing Internet lead providers utilized by the top 100 e-dealers in 2002. Dealix increased its market share of the top 100 e-dealers by 107% over last year, the publication reported. Each year Ward's ranks the automotive dealers that best utilize the Internet to increase automotive sales and profits.
In a profile on Capitol Honda of San Jose, CA, the highest-ranking Honda dealership on Ward's list, Internet director Tareq Samaha said that Capitol closes 22% of Dealix leads, the dealership's best source. "The quality of Dealix's leads has been excellent and has significantly contributed to the success of our Internet sales department, which has, in a rather short period of time, become the #1 Honda Internet sales department in the USA," said Samaha.
"Dealix is on a strong and steady upward growth curve," added Dealix president Greg Baszucki. "It's great to see demand for our services in the marketplace increasing along with the growth in the number of car buyers coming through the Dealix Lead Trading Platform(SM). We've become a major player because of our lead quality, lead volume and our focus on service."
Cliff Banks, associate editor at Ward's and writer for the e-Dealer 100 issue, commented on the value proposition of the Internet channel for both buyers and sellers. "The Internet has eased the process of buying and selling cars for both the customer and dealer," said Banks. "As a result, more and more customers are beginning their search for vehicles online. Dealers that recognize this typically have very successful Internet operations."
Dealix and other top third party lead providers supply a growing majority of the Internet leads delivered to the automotive industry. Last year, third party providers supplied 57% of the leads to the Ward's top 100 e-dealers, up from 51% in 2001. Ward's also reported that while closing rates for leads supplied from auto manufacturers' and dealers' own sites have declined, closing rates for leads supplied by the best third party providers, which specialize in Internet marketing and technology, are increasing.
