AFL Automotive To Be Honored with Subaru President's Award for 2002

    ALLEN PARK, Mich.--April 10, 2003--AFL Automotive announces that it will be awarded the Subaru President's Award for 2002. Mr. Masayoshi Nagano, President and CEO of Subaru, will present the award to AFL Automotive at an award ceremony in Lafayette, Indiana on April 29, 2003. This award is presented to Subaru's top suppliers, and it is the second recognition for AFL, who was a recipient in 1995.
    The President's Award recognizes five consecutive years of winning a Subaru quality award. The criteria for winning a Subaru quality award are an average quality rating of 99.5% and a delivery rating of 99%. AFL successfully met those criteria in 2002 with a yearly average quality rating of 99.56% and a delivery rating of 100%.
    AFL currently has responsibility for electrical wiring harnesses on the Subaru Legacy, Outback and Baja vehicles.
