Public Service Announcement from The Charities Review Council
ST. PAUL, Minn.--April 9, 2003--The April 15 tax deadline is a tough reminder that it is already too late to get a charitable tax deduction for your 2002 taxes. But, by thinking ahead, there's a big one open to you for 2003.The Charities Review Council says ... this year ... think about donating a used car to a favorite charity. They say it's a win-win situation ... because you can deduct the fair market value of the car ... and your charity gets a gift that's bigger than you might give in cash.
Okay ... but where can we find out about where to give and how to do it?
The Charities Review Council web site lists 40 charities in Minnesota that accept automobile donations and offers additional advice about making the process work for you.
Check the council's website at ... www.crcmn.org. Or ... call toll free at 1-800-733-GIVE or ... in the metro ... 651-224-7030. You also can write to the Charities Review Council at 46 E.
