Ford's Scheele to Address Midwest Automotive Media Association, May 9 in Chicago

Ford Motor Company President and Chief Operating Officer Nick Scheele will address the Midwest Automotive Media Association (MAMA) on May 9 at the Chicago Historical Society. Scheele is also a member of Ford's board of directors.

Ford's #2 in command is always making news and his appearance with MAMA will be no different. With Ford about to enter its yearlong centennial celebration and Ford on the verge of building three new products at its Chicago assembly plants, Scheele will address the ongoing revitalization of the company.

The Ford Model T-100, the newest Model T ever built, will be on hand for demonstration rides for attending media.

Scheele is responsible for the global automotive business. He was previously chairman, Ford of Europe, and is credited with having directed the increasingly successful transformation of the business. As chairman and CEO of Jaguar Cars Ltd., from 1992 to 1999, sales doubled and Jaguar regained its place as one of the world's top marques in brand image, product quality and customer satisfaction.

Ford Motor Company is the world's second-largest automaker, with approximately 350,000 employees and operations in more than 200 markets on six continents. Its automotive brands include Aston Martin, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury and Volvo. Its automotive-related services include Ford Credit, Hertz and Quality Care. Ford Motor Company will officially observe its 100th anniversary on June 16, 2003.
