Terry Borcheller - Homestead preview

Terry Borcheller returns to his home state for the April 13 Grand-Am Cup race 
at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Fla. Although his home is now in 
Phoenix, Borcheller still has strong ties to his childhood home in Hialeah, 
about 40 minutes from the race track.  He likes the track, too, with five 
wins on the 2.4-mile road course.

Borcheller will drive the No. 54 Bell Motorsports BMW M3 with Forest Barber 
of Fort Worth, Tex. They are optimistic about the race.

"We had a good start to the season with third at Daytona, and we expect a 
good weekend here at Homestead," Borcheller noted.  "Forest has driven here 
more than any other track, and I've won here five times. 

"The BMW is just a great street-stock car.  It's going to do very well in the 
banking and it's going to do very well in the tight stuff.  In NASCAR turns 
three and four, the car should be unbeatable.  There are a lot of hard 
braking zones - going into turn one, going into six, going into the hairpin - 
and the car is always fantastic under braking."

The 250-mile Grand-Am Cup race is set for at 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm (ET) on the 
2.4-mile Homestead-Miami Speedway road course.  The race will not be telecast.

Borcheller's packed schedule continues, with as much action off track as on.

He was at Road Atlanta for the Pirelli world media launch of four new tires, 
including the P Zero Corsa.  He enjoyed taking some of the 400 media 
representatives for hot laps around the track.  They also toured Pirelli's 
new plant in nearby Rome, Ga., where tires are produced using the 
state-of-the-art Modular Integrated Robotic System (MIRS).

"It excited everyone involved, from the drivers to the media," Borcheller 
enthused.

Borcheller has also been busy with the Ferrari Challenge Series.  In addition 
to his coaching duties, he was interviewed for a new series video.
