Oxner Technologies and Chrome Systems Increase Dealership Closing Ratios by 20 Percent
PORTLAND, Ore.--April 7, 2003--Chrome Systems Corporation(R), provider of automotive data, configuration technology and commerce solutions, and Oxner Technologies(R), providers of interactive Internet solutions for automotive dealerships, recently announced Chrome's editing, posting and comparison tools will be included in Oxner's Web suite packages for dealerships.Through the agreement, Oxner will use Chrome Inventory Everywhere(TM) (CIE) and Chrome Inventory Search(TM) (CIS), Chrome's Web-based vehicle posting and searching tools, to help list accurate, updated and fully described vehicles on dealership Web sites.
Using CIE, vehicle data is pulled from a dealer management system (DMS), cleaned and posted automatically. Once pulled, dealers have the option of editing individual vehicle records, or automatically posting the data as is on their Web site. All imported data is enhanced with Chrome's accurate content. CIE is then used to decipher and list a full description of each vehicle, resulting in the most current, complete content available online.
Because the dealer's Web site provides the most detailed description available for each vehicle, buyers looking for more information than typical trim level data are more likely to be persuaded to visit that dealer's showroom. "The amount of data dealers can get on individual cars is a lot more detailed using CIE and CIS. The more information you give about the vehicle, the more a customer desires that vehicle," said Dave Oxner, President, Oxner Technologies.
Markel Ford of Omaha, Nebraska, saw their closing ratio increase by more than 20 percent after using the Oxner Web site integrated with Chrome products.
"Today dealers need to do more than just post their vehicle listings online. They need to provide every piece of information necessary to help customers make an informed decision and close the sale," said David Mingle, President, Chrome Systems.
Closing the sale is getting a lot easier due to the "Quick Quote" feature provided when you combine CIS and CIE with Chrome Carbook(TM) 5. Since customers can build their vehicle online, find it in a dealer's inventory and enter their "offer price" in order to jumpstart the buying process. The offer price is then emailed to the Internet Manager with the customer's contact information.
Dealers may also combine Chrome Carbook 5 with CIE and CIS and include multiple photo uploads, a feature search option and the ability to list additional inventory within a dealer group.
