NOTES OF INTEREST: The PFG Lester 150 will be the 5th ARCA RE/MAX Series event at Nashville Superspeedway since the series first debuted there in 2001. As always, the winner of this year's event will receive a brand new electric Gibson guitar as a trophy. 4-time RE/MAX Series champion Frank Kimmel has won 3 of the 4 races at Nashville, and has won the Old Milwaukee pole for all 4. Ken Schrader, who won the inaugural event, is the only other RE/MAX Series winner there. This year's entry list includes an interesting mix of drivers from all walks of motorsports including Suzuka, Japan driver Hideo Fukuyama who is entered in a Travis Carter Ford Taurus. Kyle Busch, the younger brother of Winston Cup driver Kurt Busch, is also entered in a Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet as is former NFL Head Coach Jerry Glanville who entered his own Fricker's-sponsored Dodge. In 25 career ARCA RE/MAX Series starts, Glanville's best finish was 4th at Nashville in '02 (also finished 4th at MIS '01). From the sprint car world, Pryor OK driver Christi Passmore is entered as is Lyon's OH's Aaron Call in James Hylton's Ford - both are rookies. Call is a former SOD sprint car touring series champion. Heading to Nashville, Kimmel is tied for the points lead with third-generation driver Billy Venturini. Venturini is the son of 2-time ARCA national champion Bill Venturini. Billy's father Bill, who also serves as crew chief, is slated to provide color commentary for the live Nashville ARCA broadcast on SPEED Channel. Local favorite and this year's Daytona ARCA 200 winner Chase Montgomery of Mt. Juliet TN is entered as is Tandy Marlin of Franklin TN. Marlin is a first cousin to Winston Cup driver Sterling Marlin. Sons of former champions entered include Jason Jarrett whose father Dale Jarrett won the '99 Winston Cup championship, Todd Bowsher whose father Jack Bowsher won ARCA titles in '63, '64 & '65 and Venturini. Three former ARCA RE/MAX Series champions are entered including Tim Steele, Kimmel and Andy Hillenburg.
