SHARKNOSE.co.uk Opens Its First Retail Location at London Liverpool Street Station on April 7th 2003
LONDON--April 3, 2003--SHARKNOSE LTD, a promoter of guaranteed odds based competitions announced today that it will be opening its first permanent retail location in the main concourse area of Liverpool Street station - the heart of the City of London - on Monday April 7th, 2003.The concept is simple, and first appeared over 10 years ago at Dubai Airport where visitors could pay $100 to enter a competition in order to win a brand new Rolls Royce. Well times have changed, and Sharknose have brought the concept to a much more convenient location. Up for grabs this time is the All New 2.5i BMW Z4 Roadster in Titan Silver, with Oregon Dream Red leather.
Matthew Belcher, Commercial Director of Sharknose, says - "You've got to see this car to believe it and we are obviously hugely excited about having the first Z4 roadster in the country. It's an awesome sports car, and we sincerely hope that the lucky winner of the car will enjoy owning this fine machine."
BMW describe the all new Z4 as a car that effortlessly bridges two worlds, and a classic roadster that is a charismatic vision of the future. The sweeping curve of the bonnet, the long wheelbase and low-set seats identify the Z4 as a purebred sports car. The Z4 is an experience that delights the senses. Convex and concave surfaces play with light. Strong lines interact with soft curves. Smooth steel and fine leather bring a tactile richness to every detail. The closer you come to the Z4, the more it touches you.
'Sharknose' - isn't that a strange name for a company that gives away sports cars? "Well yes and no." Matthew explains - "We're passionate about sports cars, and what better name to give a company than after one of the most famous Formula 1 cars of the 60's - the Ferrari 156 Sharknose. To the motor sport enthusiast the name is instantly recognisable, and to the non enthusiast it's a distinctive name that always creates interest."
The model featured at Liverpool Street station is the 2.5i which has a claimed 192bhp and a top speed of 146 miles per hour.
