United Plastics Group Receives ``Most Improved Supplier'' Award from WIX Filtration; WIX Applauds UPG's Commitment to Quality, Cost Savings and On-Time Delivery
WESTMONT, Ill.--April 2, 2003--United Plastics Group Inc. (UPG), a full-service manufacturer of injection molded products for the automotive market, announced today that it has been named the "Most Improved Supplier" by WIX Filters, a subsidiary of Dana Corp.'s Automotive Aftermarket Group, one of the world's largest independent suppliers to vehicle manufacturers and related aftermarkets."Every year we select a strategic supplier with the highest improvement rating to be awarded our Most Improved Suppler award. The recipient is determined by a number of criteria including quality, on-time delivery, support, and cost savings," stated WIX Filtration's Pat Trudeau, division supplier quality assurance manager. "Between 2001 and 2002 United Plastics Group successfully reached and in some areas, such as cost savings, exceeded our set criteria. Overall, UPG's high improvement rating clearly reflects their hard work and commitment to customer satisfaction."
